Want to buy a “celebrity’s” house? David Cassidy’s Fort Lauderdale home is up for sale. Unfortunately, he has to sell it because he just filed for bankruptcy in February and is coping with a divorce from his wife of 23 years. But his misfortune can be your gain!

The house has been on the the market for over a year. His original asking price of around $4.5 million has gradually been reduced to a meager $3.2 million.

So what does two and a half million dollars get you?

It has six bedrooms, six bathrooms, and 6,400 square feet of living space. But that’s not all. You’ll get your own private beach and 131 feet of waterfront. It also boasts a resort style pool, a private dock,and lift for your boat or yacht.

All of this is jammed onto a paltry 7,500 square foot lot. But hey, when the Atlantic ocean is practically knocking on your front door, who needs a lot of property anyway?

The listing now states that the house “MUST BE SOLD” and “ALL offers invited and considered.” It seems the stench of desperation may be wafting our way. An interested party should have all the bargaining power in his or her hands.

With the turmoil of both a divorce and a bankruptcy, let’s hope Mr. Cassidy lands on his feet. He’ll likely be facing a more modest lifestyle, unless he somehow finds another lucrative gig like he had back in the Partridge Family days. At least his bankruptcy will ensure that he has a financial clean slate for his future.
